Don't Make Me Be Paris Hilton - But Here's What I'd Do If I Was

Oh, I am so thankful that I am not Paris Hilton. It is time for her to grow up and stop snivelling. As the saying goes, don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

I see she's done something to her lips, again, too. It's hard to feel sorry for her. Very hard.
A stay in jail might be the best thing for her. She can get a glimpse of the real world that she's never had to see before. The only victims will be the other women in custody who have to listen to her crying and whining. She might surprise us all by forgetting about Paris and thinking of the other women in there as well as what brought them to that place.

I have never appreciated, until now, the fact that when I made a mistake, I was able to deal with it privately. Let's hear it for anonymity!

But then, if I were going to spend a bit of time in a jail, here's what I'd do:

Be Humble

Try to Fit In

Show Concern For Others

Think:  How Can I Help? (others, that is)

Agree That "She" Doesn't Deserve To Be There, No Matter What She Did

For some reason, most women in a jail are there because of some man.  She is either covering for him, taking the rap, or in some way is locked up because of what she did or didn't do because of him.  Sad, but true.

Short, Short Stories and Oscar Mayer!

"Short, Short Stories and Oscar Mayer!"

Wishful Thinking

Bob had all he wanted. And he still had one wish left.

"I can't decide. Can I use it later?" he asked.

"You da boss. I'm just the genie."

"Cool."

As he walked down the streets, he searched for a tune to express his joyous feelings.

"...Oh, I wish I were an Oscar Mayer Wiener - "

- Joshua Hanes

An Oscar Mayer campaign introduced on radio in 1963 and later on a 1965 animated cartoon contained the lyrics:

Oh, I love to be an Oscar Mayer wiener
That is what I'd Truly like to be
'Cause if I were an Oscar Mayer wiener
Ev'ryone would be in love with me!

In 1968 the Vienna Symphony Orchestra performed the tune in a commercial that ended with a little boy clapping at the orchestra's performance and then taking a bite out of a wiener. An announcer closed by saying "The Oscar Mayer wiener—a classic."
